Chlorpyrifos is suspected of altering the genome and impairing neurological development.

The pesticide glyphosate, on the other hand, is particularly controversial anyway and could lead to cancer.

So: Better not pour these two types of tea into your cup and especially not into your mouth.

Fruit tea in the test: Organic products are the better choice

Because there are much better alternatives.

Ökotest rated 13 fruit teas with the best grade, two other products were rated "good".

Top of the class include:

• “Organic Rosehip Hibiscus” from Bio Sonne

• “Organic fruit tea” from Bünting Tee

• Dennree Fruit Tea

• "Fruit Tea" by K-Bio

• "Organic Orange Ginger Fruit Tea" by Messmer

• "Mild fruit tea" from Rewe Bio

• "Teavelope Rose Hip Rosehip Fruit Tea" by Ronnefeldt

• "Rosehip Hibiscus Fruit Tea No. 1441" by Tee Gschwendner

• "Orange & Tangerine Fruit Tea" by Yasashi Bio Tee

• "Fruit tea" from Lebensbaum

• "Bio Organic Fruit Hibiscus" by Lord Nelson

With two exceptions, all of these fruit teas were free of pesticides.

Only the products from Tee Gschwendner and Ronnefeldt contain traces of a pesticide.

However, to such a small extent that the top grade was still achieved.

The two types of tea “Bio Forest Fruit” from DM and “Organic Rosehip with Hibiscus” from Goldmännchen-Tee received the second best rating.

All of these recommended products have one thing in common: they are fruit teas from controlled organic cultivation.

So if you are thirsty for a fruit tea, you should go for the organic product.

Because the three other non-organic teas didn't do quite as well in the test either.

Cookies or cakes go best with tea.

However, some treat themselves to the drink with every meal.

This may be a strange combination, but it is not dangerous to health.
