(ANSA) - ISTANBUL, 08 MAR - At least 38 women were arrested in Istanbul while they were trying to go to the demonstration organized on the occasion of March 8 in the center of the city but prohibited by the prefecture.
This was made known by the organizers and various Turkish media who cite police detentions in the districts of Kadikoy and Besiktas.
About a hundred feminists managed to gather in the central district of Cihangir where the demonstration has recently begun despite the ban.
