Product recall: broken glass in chocolate protein snack

Muesli bars and protein bars are not only popular with athletes.

A certain product is now under recall due to suspected broken glass.

Product recall: Anyone who recently bought a protein bar from EDEKA, Marktkauf or Netto should be careful.

There could be glass splinters in a manufacturer's latch.

For reasons of preventive consumer protection, the Dutch Prinsen BV is returning a recall for a chocolate protein bar.

The bar was sold nationwide mainly at Bundi, Edeka, Marktkauf and Netto Marken-Discount.

The company cannot rule out the possibility of glass splinters being found in individual protein bars.

The company and the dealers concerned have reacted and withdrawn the corresponding goods from sale.

Specifically, the recall concerns the product: Max Balance Sport Protein Bar 50% Protein 45g with the chocolate-brownie flavor.

According to the manufacturer, only bars with the best before date 07/2022 are affected.

According to the company, other best-before dates for the same item and other protein bars or flavors are not affected.

Recall: Glass splinters in the protein bar - exchange of the product even without a receipt

Anyone who has bought such a snack can return it to the relevant supermarket for a refund of the purchase price and without presenting the receipt.
