(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 08 MAR - The US thinks that Poland's offer to deliver its Mig-29s to the US army stationed in Germany and then turn them over to Ukraine is not "feasible".
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said so.
The prospect of jets departing from a US and NATO base in Germany "to fly into the disputed airspace between Russia and Ukraine raises serious concerns for the entire NATO alliance," Kirby explained.
"We will continue to consult with Poland and our other NATO allies on this issue and the logistical difficulties it poses, but we do not believe that the Polish proposal is sustainable," he added.
