Women want to invest more money in 2022

According to a study by the online bank N26, women in Germany want to invest more than 50 percent more.

28 percent of the women surveyed would like more open discussions about the advantages and risks of investing

In the survey, women are those people who define themselves in this way.
Non-binary individuals were not included in the analysis due to the non-representative sample size.
In February, N26 surveyed around 2,000 women in Germany
about their investment behavior.
In addition to women who are already investing, respondents who have not yet made any investments also took part in the survey.
The study revealed some interesting results.

Female Investment Power – Two out of three women want to increase their investments by more than 50 percent in 2022
According to the study, German women have invested an
average of 932 euros, or 31 percent of their monthly income
.
Two out of three women want to invest 54 percent more in 2022 than in the previous year.
In addition, 56 percent of the women surveyed who have not yet invested are considering investing their money in 2022.

Criteria that are important to women when investing are
value for money and long-term returns
, but also a
thorough understanding of the product
they are investing in.
Women who have not yet invested their money but are considering doing so in the future report similar motivations.
However, potential female investors of tomorrow choose different investment products than women who are already investing.
This is how women who have not yet invested want to invest their money in the future:

What prevents women from investing money?
On the one hand, women are afraid of the
risk
involved in investing and are afraid of
financial
instability
, on the other hand, around half of those surveyed named a
lack of disposable income
as the reason why they either do not invest at all or no longer invest.
In addition, most of the women who took part in the survey would like to see more open discussions about investments and that other women also speak more openly about the topic.
A lack of knowledge is no longer a major obstacle for German female investors, as more than 80 percent of women who already invest feel confident in making their investment decisions, although only about half are familiar with investments.
