(ANSA) - MILAN, MARCH 09 - The Russian attack on Ukraine and international sanctions also have consequences in the art world: the Hermitage museum in St. Petersburg has requested the return by the end of the month of the works lent for the exhibitions at the Palazzo Reale di Milano and the Gallerie d'Italia.
The exhibition 'Grand Tour. Dream of Italy from Venice to Pompeii' is open at the Galleries until March 27,
which is created in collaboration with the Russian museum.
Among the works for which restitution is requested is the Giovanedonna with a plumed hat by Titian, exhibited at the Palazzo Reale exhibition 'Titian and the figure of the Venetian woman in the 1500s'.
