Piaggio and Santander Consumer Finance have signed "a long-term global collaboration agreement, aimed at developing retail financial services with the aim of supporting the Piaggio Group's commercial structure and the distribution network on the different local markets".

Santander thus becomes the new global partner of the Piaggio Group for the supply of retail financial services.
The partnership is "exclusive" explains a note and will affect key European markets: "in a first phase, countries not currently covered by agreements with other partners (including Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece and the UK) and from 1 January 2023 also to Italy, France, Spain and Germany ".
Furthermore, Santander will support the development of the Piaggio business also in the markets of Latin America, the USA and Canada, thanks to a structured and widespread presence.
But the agreement also provides for "the evaluation of the parties to extend the collaboration in other strategic markets".
