The figures for the epidemic have recorded a slight rebound in recent days.
This Monday, Public Health France counted 162 new deaths linked to Covid-19, as well as 20,925 hospitalized patients.
The number of patients hospitalized due to infection was 20,917 on Sunday, and 22,208 last Monday.
1,826 patients are treated in critical care, against 1,855 on Sunday, and 2,089 seven days ago.
In total, more than 140,200 people have died from Covid-19 in France since the start of the epidemic.
As for contaminations, the slight increase also continues, with 18,853 cases recorded on Monday, against 60,422 on Sunday and 14,496 last Monday.
End of restrictions in France
Regarding vaccinations, "39,309,697 people received a booster dose", announced the Directorate General of Health on Monday.
“In addition, since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 54,256,141 people have received at least one injection (i.e. 80.5% of the total population) and 53,322,857 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 79 .1% of the total population)”, she continues in a press release.
The slight resumption of contaminations and hospitalizations comes as March 14 marks the end of wearing a mask in many places in France, as well as the end of the vaccination pass.
“The fact of removing our masks today, of no longer presenting the pass, does not mean that we should stop being vigilant, for ourselves or for others”, recalled for his part the Minister of Health. Olivier Véran, on the sidelines of a trip to Vendée.

“Is being able to remove the mask today a bad decision with regard to the rebound?
