Three years ago, the former Miss France 2011 Laury Thilleman launched her Parisian label and then, a 100% made in France and sustainable dressing room for hyperactive women.

Are you making your Instagram community aware of the concept of sustainability?

On social media, I give as much as I take.

I like this relationship of sharing information, the only way in my opinion to make things happen together.

I am not an irreproachable ecologist, but I had the chance to be educated by parents concerned with the environment.

Picking up trash on the beaches, composting and selective sorting have been part of my life since I was a teenager.

What is your green command?

The importance of French manufacturing.

We have reopened a factory in the Paris region which produces all our knits.

It is important to say that our French know-how is being lost, and that it is small brands like

Parisienne, and then

which can drive change and prove that it is possible to make everything made in France while remaining accessible, modern and fashionable.

How and where do you shop responsibly?

I sell and buy a lot on Vinted.

And I'm lucky to be the same size as my mother and my sister Julie.

We've been swapping clothes for years!

I also like thrift stores.

My best find, a beige suede jacket with fringes on the sleeves that I found in Verona, Italy.

What are the sustainable pieces of your wardrobe?

The ones I don't buy, like my husband's jeans, Juan

(chef Juan Arbelaez, editor's note)

.

I love stealing her October denims to play on the baggy effect.

I also have an old pair of Sartore cowboy boots that I recycled into a vase of dried flowers.

What is your favorite accessory to pass on?

A medal from my grandmother.

I discovered that in fact it was a small box that could open.

It secretly contained a photo of my grandfather whom I never knew.

I keep it close to my heart and will pass it on to my future children.

And the highlight of spring-summer 2022?

A long vaporous khaki trench coat worn over a miniskirt.

The perfect clash of proportions.

With a pair of New Balance sneakers, which are making a comeback.

What are your wardrobe essentials?

A male costume.

During the day, I wear it with a sweatshirt slipped underneath and sneakers.

In the evening, with a blouse and high heels.

Which piece makes the difference in style?

A cap, without hesitation.

Sporty or nautical, it's the cool and stylish accessory that gives style to all silhouettes.

On social networks, I prefer to share than to comment.

I like to post links to documentaries, such as

Seaspiracy

on Netflix, which torpedo the fishing industry, or reports, such as those by Konbini and activist journalist Hugo Clément.

With Osée and Recc Paris, my beauty and fashion brands, I try to favor French manufacturing to limit air transfers.

What is your green command?

Ban single-use bags.

I always have tote bags for shopping.

And above all, bet on good basics to limit my consumption of clothes.

As for those that I no longer wear, either I give them to my mother or my sister, or I resell them in empty dressing rooms, part of the proceeds of which is donated to associations.

How and where do you shop responsibly?

I do very little shopping.

What are the

sustainables

of your wardrobe?

I discovered an awesome

activewear

brand in Dubai called The Giving Movement.

Everything is made from recycled nylon and organic bamboo fibers.

I like everything, from the style to the cuts, including the comfort and the eco-responsible materials.

I also like the young Parisian upcycling label Kamad Reworked, which reuses accessories and fabric scraps from the big fashion houses, such as vintage Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton buttons, to give them a second life on jewelry, denim jackets or bucket hats.

What is your favorite accessory to pass on?

A beautiful vintage bag that has a history and craftsmanship, like the timeless ones from Louis Vuitton or those from Prada.

And the highlight of spring-summer 2022?

This is the silver

silhouette .

A metallic touch, whether on a jacket or trousers, which you put on to enhance all your winter basics.

What are your wardrobe essentials?

Jeans or denim shorts, a T-shirt and a pair of Recc Paris sneakers.

A trio that I didn't leave for a month and that made me realize that I had too many useless things in my cupboards.

Which piece makes the difference in style?

I'm a big fan of oversized blazers.

It's a very good basic that can be worn in all seasons, with baggy pants, jeans or slightly cycling shorts.

Sabina Socol

An influencer for four years, last June she launched Pujka, an ultra-feminine label that focuses on sustainability.

Sabina Socol launched Pujka last summer.

Instagram @sabinasocol

Are you making your Instagram community aware of the concept of sustainability?

I prefer action to grand declarations.

Pujka's goal is not

greenwashing

.

It's a sustainable brand in the sense that everything is made in Europe, in small quantities to avoid overstocking and the sales system, and above all to imagine timeless pieces to wear season after season.

I try to lead by example on Instagram by wearing the same looks multiple times.

What is your green command?

Sorting your waste is the basis.

And everything that belongs to common sense, such as limiting your plastic consumption, trying not to fly when you can take the train or prefer reusable containers, glass for example.

How and where do you shop responsibly?

La Mode Vintage, a boutique located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.

You can find Saint Laurent from the 1970s, nuggets signed Courrèges, Chanel, Issey Miyake… Its owner, Carole, has a crazy selection of designers at fair prices.

That's where I found my wedding dress, a

seamless white

slip dress from the John Galliano Spring/Summer 1996 collection, worn by Naomi Campbell on the show.

What are the

sustainables

of your wardrobe?

Little dresses and blouses from Maison Cléo.

They are all handmade in Lille and cut from natural materials destocked.

And my vintage pieces.

What is your favorite accessory to pass on?

I am a lover of fashion and beautiful pieces.

I'm able to buy clothes that I won't wear, just for the fun of collecting and passing them on.

Recently, I found a little velvet jacket from Saint Laurent's Ballets Russes collection.

As it is a little fragile, I admire it without wearing it.

And the highlight of spring-summer 2022?

An apple green set, shirt and skirt, from the new Pujka collection.

It's inspired by an iconic 90s look, and although minimalist, I think it's going to make a splash!

What are your wardrobe essentials?

Cropped cardigans.

With jeans, high waisted pants or a skirt, they never leave me, in summer as in winter.

The piece that makes the difference in style?

My Gardette dress.

With its sweetheart neckline and its

stretch seersucker

material , it has a sexy Bardot side, which is unanimous every time I wear it.

Are you making your Instagram community aware of the concept of sustainability?

It's always difficult to highlight eco-responsibility on social networks when you are not fully committed.

For Musier, I try to produce as locally as possible.

I fight for us to try to find something closer, like for the mesh that we still have made in China.

Many of our pieces are made in France, and each time I am told that I should communicate on them.

But I'm waiting to be 100% green to finally afford it.

Work in progress…

What is your green command?

I act according to my measure, through everyday gestures.

I am a big waste sorting maniac, who makes life hard for her husband to put everything in the right bin!

How and where do you shop responsibly?

I like vintage fashion and second hand.

I got that from my mother, who is a big furniture hunter.

I am addicted to the resale site Vestiaire Collective.

These are pieces that have been worn once or twice.

It's "like new", but without the price that goes with it... I also have my habits in vintage Parisian shops like Episode, Kiliwatch and Thanx God I'm a VIP I like to shop everything that dates back years 1990-2000 from Galliano, Dior and Louis Vuitton.

I find that everything that has been created during these two decades is timeless.

And I love the idea of a piece that has lived, like a family treasure that we appropriate.

What are the

sustainables

of your wardrobe?

My vintage Levi's 501 jeans.

A Maison Cléo top, which only uses fabrics from the

dead stocks

of the big houses, produced in Lille.

And a Marcia dress made in Econyl, recycled nylon,

made in

France

What is your favorite accessory to pass on?

Jewelry, without hesitation.

Around the neck I do not leave my grandmother's cameo.

I also brought up three diamonds from her engagement ring.

I will pass them on to my daughter when she grows up.

And the highlight of spring-summer 2022?

I would say the miniskirt.

At Musier, we are going to release two versions this season: one in leather and one cut out later, which I can't wait to wear.

What are your wardrobe essentials?

Jeans, a white t-shirt and moccasins.

Which piece makes the difference in style?

For me, the Saddle bag from Dior.

Its design, its size, its shoulder strap... It's just perfect.

Even when I need a big tote on busier days, I can't resist slipping it inside.

I try to show that you can wear the same piece from one season to another.

Everyday fashion is not a red carpet on which you should never display the same look twice.

At Loulou Studio, for everything cashmere and cashmere blend, we have a production in Mongolia labeled Made in Green by Oeko-Tex.

I'm quite proud of it and I claim it, just like all of our materials, which tend towards

sustainability.

As for our wool, cotton and leather pieces, they are made in Europe.

What is your green command?

I'm far from perfect, but I try to buy more and more second-hand.

And I think twice before succumbing to the crush.

The key to a reasoned dressing room.

How and where do you shop responsibly?

I love vintage fashion.

One day, at a flea market in Normandy, I bought a Chanel shell bag for a grandma.

She had even kept the certificates!

In Milan, I found a Prada jacket from the 1990s, and in Paris, at a garage sale, a leather Hermès skirt.

What are the

sustainables

of your wardrobe?

Clothes that belonged to my mother, like this eighties

leather jacket

with very marked shoulders.

When this build came back into fashion, I wore it with pleasure.

These are pieces that marked an era and are anything but disposable.

I also particularly like to wear the green cashmere of my Loulou Studio sweaters.

What is your favorite accessory to pass on?

A beautiful Kelly bag from Hermès that my grandmother gave me and that I will pass on to my daughter one day.

Owning and sharing pieces that have meaning and a story is what I love about fashion.

And the highlight of spring 2022?

My long Sula dress in silk satin, which subtly reveals the back with twisted cutouts.

To twist the day with a leather bomber jacket.

What are your wardrobe essentials?

In the summer, I like to wear high-waisted,

loose

linen-blend pants.

And knit dresses that bring all-day ease.

I especially like the idea that you can put on the same outfit both at the office and on vacation by the sea.

Which piece makes the difference in style?

For me, it's the cut that signs a look.

If a garment is well cut, it always works.
