(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 12 - "Informing, educating, caring: towards a participatory and integrated model of Italian alcoholism".
It is the title chosen for the second National Alcohol Conference to be held in Rome from 15 to 17 March.
Organized and promoted by the Ministry of Health, the conference aims "to review the state of the art regarding the actions at national, regional and local level undertaken and to be undertaken on the alcohol issue, more than 20 years after the approval of the Framework Law 125 / 2001 on the subject of alcohol and alcohol-related problems.
The initiative will be attended by representatives of the Government, Regions, Municipalities, Self-Help Associations, Higher Institute of Health, Scientific Societies ".
"The added value of the Conference - explains Undersecretary for Health Andrea Costa, one of the main promoters of the initiative - will be to provide answers, solutions and proposals to overcome critical issues through consensus documents that will see the collaboration of Regions, Municipalities, Service operators, but also of various-titled institutions involved, scientific societies, associations and therapeutic communities. A symphony of voices, each with its own wealth of experience and skills, all eager to contribute to improving the socio-health system in favor of the citizen, the person and his family " .
On March 15, the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, the Minister of Education Patrizio Bianchi, the Minister for youth policies Fabiana Dadone, the Minister of Labor and Social Policies Andrea Orlando will speak among others.
The proceedings will be introduced by Undersecretary Andrea Costa and Sergio Iavicoli, Director-General for Communication and European and International Relations of the Ministry of Health.
It will also be illustrated the "Report to Parliament on the interventions carried out pursuant to Law no. 125 of 30.3.2001 on alcohol and alcohol related problems: year 2021", sent to the Chambers on 8 March.
The conference will be streamed live at www.salute.gov.it and on all other official channels of the Ministry of Health.
