"I have such a treadmill, but I don't use it," said Keith Richards, 78, in an interview with SPIEGEL.
Sport is apparently not the great passion of the Rolling Stones guitarist - he will still get enough exercise in the summer.
On the occasion of their 60th anniversary, his band goes on a European tour again.
The Stones confirmed the rumors on Monday.
"The stones just keep rolling," said the mature rock ensemble's Twitter account.
Among the 14 shows of the "Sixty" tour are two concerts in Germany.
The band will be performing at the Olympia Stadium in Munich on June 5th and at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen on July 27th.
The Rolling Stones gave their very first concert on July 12, 1962 at the now closed Marquee Club in London.
"We won't let 60 years go by without doing something," Richards recently told the German Press Agency in London.
On their "Sixty" tour, which starts in Madrid and ends in Stockholm, the band will perform twice in the British capital.
Huge concerts are planned in London's Hyde Park in June and July.
Of the original line-up that performed at the Marquee Club, only 78-year-old frontman Mick Jagger and guitarist Richards remain.
Guitarist Ronnie Wood, 74, has also been a permanent member since 1975.
After the death of longtime drummer Charlie Watts last year, US drummer Steve Jordan, 57, took over his post.
