Sleep is one of the most unique, mysterious and fascinating experiences in the human being.

During sleep, our subconscious mind takes the reins, allowing us to relax, replenish energy stores and even contribute to improving brain function and other body systems without any special effort on our part.

According to expert estimates, while sleeping, and especially while we are dreaming, the brain actually arranges all the information it has accumulated and decides what to store in long-term memory and what to give up.

Studies have found that this process is essential for improving memory and cognitive function.

There is also evidence that adequate and quality sleep has a beneficial effect on heart health, the immune system, creativity and even our risk of developing diseases like diabetes or dementia.

The problem is that for many people, and especially recently as mentioned, trying to fall asleep at night sometimes feels like a complex war going on inside the brain.

Ideally, all you need to do to fall asleep is get into a comfortable position, close your eyes and let your brain gradually slow down.

For some people, however, it is the attempts to fall asleep that provoke bothersome thoughts, worries and restlessness.

In such cases, the mind may try to ward off the annoying thoughts and fight them, which quite ironically will only increase their intensity.

Transcendental meditation is considered by many experts to be an effective tool in improving sleep, thanks in part to the fact that one of the results of the practice is the release of tension that underlies the inability to fall asleep.

Transcendental meditation actually allows the mind and body to dive into a deep and very refreshing rest that occurs on its own without any effort, adjustment or effort. Studies show that the rest obtained while practicing the technique is almost twice as deep as the night's rest.

This unique rest allows the body to cleanse itself of the stresses and annoyances that have accumulated during the day and which impair our ability to fall asleep and the quality of sleep in general.

Indeed many people report an improvement in sleep quality after studying Transcendental Meditation, alongside an increase in vigor throughout the day.

I too have suffered from insomnia in the past and would find myself entering a cycle of fear of staying awake.

When I learned Transcendental Meditation and began to practice it, the fear disappeared.

Today I am confident that I am always in control of the situation.

In addition, you will find that it affects you in many other areas of life.

Studies conducted in recent years on the technique have found for example that this meditation has a beneficial effect on blood pressure, memory, sugar balance, weight, relationships, risk of serious diseases like cancer and dementia and even prolonging life expectancy.

This is why Transcendental Meditation has become an integral part of the lives of many people in recent decades, including people in the business sector, through athletes of all levels to veterans and other people suffering from post-trauma or other mental difficulties.

This is a very simple and natural meditation technique that anyone can practice very easily.

The only thing to do is make a decision - and go study.

The study of the Transcendental Meditation technique is done in a short course of 4 sessions of about an hour and a half each, in four consecutive days.

The courses are given by licensed and certified teachers.

The body on whose behalf teachers work in Israel, and which is responsible for teaching Transcendental Meditation, is the International Meditation Association, which is a non-profit organization.

Free introductory lectures are given throughout the country both in zoom and in frontal form.
