However, the joy only lasts until you read the following message: "The shipment does not meet our shipping conditions.
Return to sender.”
This is particularly annoying when the message pops up on the day it was actually received.
Some customers shared their frustration on Twitter.

“Had this notification in the DHL app today.
Something new more often," a Twitter user commented on the unwelcome message.
Others react much less calmly.
"This should have arrived today and is now being returned to sender.
Thank you DHL Paket – I asked what that was supposed to do,” writes a person affected.
That's probably what many people are wondering when they receive this message.
So when will the notification follow?
"If a shipment does not meet the shipping conditions, non-compliance with specifications such as packaging, size, weight, franking, prohibited ingredients or addressing can be the reason for a return," explains DHL on Twitter under a post.
The return could then not be stopped.
Reasons for a return:
Wrong packaging
Wrong size
Different weight
Wrong franking
Prohibited Content
Problems registering or transmitting the address
Graphics card, instant noodles and playing cards: With this content, a user is rightly surprised as to what does not correspond to the shipping conditions.
“The shipment was neither too heavy nor damaged.
There is no apparent reason that this package is repeatedly undelivered!” he complains after the second attempt.
DHL promises further clarification by email in this specific case.

There is a plausible, if perhaps unsatisfactory, answer for this as well.
“Since we cannot check for correctness in the respective parcel centers, but only within the so-called 'last mile', we can only react in the destination area (i.e. at the time of delivery).
We ask for your understanding,” is DHL's statement.
So it's always exciting to see which message appears in the shipment tracking.
Now and then, a message from a parcel carrier can also cause a laugh.
