(ANSA) - BEIJING, MARCH 21 - Shenzhen, the Silicon Valley of China, has started the resumption of "normal activity" one week after the imposition of the lockdown which involved over 17.5 million residents and all its productive settlements: the local authorities in a notary launched by the state broadcaster CCTV, according to which the three rounds of anti-Covid tests have been completed in efforts to counter the dreaded wave of the Omicron variant.

The epidemic situation is "still serious, but on the whole manageable", specified the note, in which it is specified that "companies and institutions, production units have resumed normal production operations", while public transport and subways "have fully resumed functioning ",

even if the closed-circuit management of public places considered "non-essential" remains.

Under the current situation, the ban on large-scale public events remains.

The lockdown arranged in Shenzhen, on the outskirts of Hong Kong, had aroused much concern due above all to the facilities of large technological groups, starting with those of Foxconn which assemble iPhones, with repercussions on the Chinese economy.
