(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 21 - Russia has banned Facebook and Instagram in the country for their involvement in "extremist activities".

A court in Moscow has recognized the activities of Instagram and Facebook, a social network owned by Meta, as extremist and banned them from operating in the country, writes the Tax.
According to Judge Olga Solopova, the court approved the motion filed by the General Prosecutor's Office.
