Fed: Powell, ready to raise rates faster

(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 21 - The Fed will raise interest rates faster, or more than a quarter of a point if necessary.

Fed chairman Jerome Powell said, noting that the central bank will adjust its policy as its outlook evolves to meet its goals.

    The inflation outlook had deteriorated significantly even before Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Powell adds.
