Two boys aged 15 and 16 rode on the running board of a regional train locomotive in Lower Saxony - sometimes at 160 km/h.
According to initial findings, the young people were thrown off the train by the train attendant at the train station in Eschede on Saturday because they apparently had no tickets, were not wearing corona masks and were also harassing travelers.
This is reported by the federal police in Bremen.
The teenagers then climbed onto the locomotive's running boards and buffers at the end of the track.
According to the federal police, the duo clung to the outside of the train for seven minutes to the Unterlüß station, which was sometimes traveling at 160 kilometers per hour.
The police speak of life-threatening carelessness.

During their journey on the locomotive, however, the young people were observed by a witness who dialed the emergency number.
At the Unterlüß train station, the two climbed back into one of the wagons.
Police officers discovered the two a little later on a subsequent train, which they had meanwhile switched to.
The juveniles received notices of violations.
