(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 22 - All the technicians of the Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Chernobyl, who were stuck in the plant and had to continue working without interruption since the arrival of the Russian troops on February 24, have obtained permission to leave the site .
The International Atomic Energy Agency (Aiea) reports this in a press release, which says it has been informed by the Kiev authorities.
Half of the technicians were able to leave two days ago, the other half yesterday, except 13 of them who did not want to leave.
Those who disassembled were replaced by Ukrainian colleagues, and Ukrainian guards remained in the plant.
Damage to roads and bridges had so far hindered the arrival of the staff who had to replace colleagues.
