A calving cow fatally injured a farmer in Utting am Ammersee.
The 63-year-old wanted to take the just-born calf in the box in the barn in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech on Sunday, the police said.
The mother animal then suddenly attacked and injured the man.
Farmer died on the farm
The farmer's colleagues tried to provide first aid and alerted the rescue workers.
The farmer died on the spot from his injuries.
There is no evidence that other people were involved in the fatal incident.
