This cheese bread is not about a delicious slice of bread covered with cheese, but the cheese goes directly into the dough.
You only need five ingredients!
"Cheese bread is a good bread" is not just a song by Helge Schneider, but most people would agree.
But instead of only covering a slice of normal wheat, spelled or wholemeal bread* with cheese, the cheese is added
to the dough in this
recipe .
This is how the cheesy taste comes into its own – cheese lovers are already licking their fingers.
Plus, you only need four other ingredients: flour, baking powder, milk, and salt.
You see correctly, yeast is not used here.
So there are no long waiting times during which the dough still has to rise.
Instead, you can mix all the ingredients within
five minutes
, and the dough goes into the oven in the loaf tin.
After 35 minutes the
cheese sandwich is ready
on the table.
Baking bread yourself is trendy, but do you already know cheese bread?

If you like, you can also add other savory ingredients to the dough, for example roasted onions, dried tomatoes and co. Of course, savory spreads, sausage and cheese go better with cheese bread than sweet toppings.
Enjoy your meal!
