"I uploaded the video at the urging of a colleague who couldn't stop laughing after watching it," says Alexandra.
"I'm both surprised and delighted that so many people found it so amusing. Sam has been a huge part of keeping me sane during the pandemic and I'm glad his prank has brought joy to so many other people ."
The video of a cat rushing to its feeder also caused amusement on the Internet.
In just a few days, the funny clip that Alexandra published on Reddit under the username “unsolicited_peetpics” garnered over 12.00 upvotes and hundreds of enthusiastic comments.
