White House spokesperson Jen Psaky announced she was positive about Covid, specifying that she had yesterday a remote meeting with US President Joe Biden, who is not considered a "close contact".
"Today, in view of the trip to Europe", Psaky explained in a statement, "I did a molecular test of the coronavirus and it tested positive. This is why I will not accompany the president on a mission".
"Thanks to the vaccine, I only had mild symptoms. In line with the White House's anti-Covid protocols, I will work from home and return to work on-site after a five-day isolation period and a negative test," added the spokesman.
