It's hard to believe this has not happened so far, but better late than never: the Red Hot Chili Peppers are about to finally get their own star on Hollywood's famous Avenue of the Stars.
Anthony Kidds, Pelly, Chad Smith and John Prussianta will be honored on March 31, where the name of their veteran band will staff the 2,717 star on the avenue.
All four members of the band are scheduled to be present at the venue, with the star in their name to be revealed by producer George Clinton.
"Our local Hollywood kids are finally about to get a star on the Avenue of the Stars," said faith producer on the famed Avenue, Anna Martinez.
"We waited for them to share our busy schedule so that we could dedicate the star to them. We are excited to have them on the Avenue of the Stars family."
This is a welcome tribute to the popular ensemble, which began in 1983 and has continued to operate in the world of music for about four decades.
Alongside this, Hollywood, California and the glamorous life of celebrities (for their pros and cons) are topics that a bunch of rockers tend to engage with in their creation.
The day after the star's reception, on April 1, the Chili Peppers are scheduled to release their new album "Unlimitded Love".
It will be the band's 12th album, and the first to be played by John Prussianta, since the 2006 double "Stadium Arcadium".
The legendary guitarist returned to the band in 2019.
