Crispy baked potatoes are an ingeniously simple side dish to almost any dish.

It is all the more important that the potatoes are nice and crispy, after all, nobody likes limp food.
So how do you manage to get potatoes nice and

?
The secret lies in a special ingredient that you probably rarely use when preparing potatoes: cornstarch.
Don't worry, you won't taste it, but it will ensure that the potatoes are dehydrated.
The result: wonderfully crispy potatoes.

With a special ingredient you can conjure up super crispy potatoes
500 g potatoes
3 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp paprika powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp herbs of your choice
salt
Simple recipe for potato fans - this is how crunchy potato bites succeed
First, peel the potatoes, cut them into small pieces and boil them in a pot of water for about 20 minutes.
The smaller you cut the potatoes, the shorter you need to cook them.
Then drain the potatoes and roll them in the cornstarch in a deep plate.
Preheat the oven to 220 °C top/bottom heat or 200 °C fan.
Mix together a dressing of oil, paprika, nutmeg, herbs and salt and mix with the potatoes.
Spread the potatoes on a baking tray and bake in the oven for about 35 minutes.
And the ingeniously
crispy potato
bites are ready.
This goes well with a delicious yoghurt or garlic dip and a colorful salad.
Or you serve the potatoes as a side dish.
