How to prepare the bread in the pan: without an oven

  • Put the flour, sugar and yeast in a bowl and mix well.

Gradually add water and knead with your hands to form a dough.

  • Add the salt and knead the dough into a ball.

Pour some oil over the dough ball and rub the dough with it.

  • Cover the bowl with a lid or kitchen towel and let the dough rise for 1.5 hours.

  • Then place the dough on a work surface, knead it well and shape it into a flat ball.

  • Brush a large pan with some oil, place the dough in it, put the lid on and let the dough rise again for 30 minutes.

  • Heat a second large pan with a lid on the stove and pour in the batter from the other pan.

Gently spread the batter in the pan and put the lid on.

  • Bake the bread over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes until nicely browned and crispy on the bottom.

  • Grease a large plate with oil to turn the bread, or use parchment paper: turn the bread out onto the plate and then slide it back into the pan.

Place the lid on the pan again and bake the bread on the second side until golden brown, this takes about 10 minutes.
