Today in many Italian cities the first march for the climate of 2002 is held. Thus Frida for future resumes.

The movement was born in Sweden after the strikes of 19-year-old Greta Thunberg.

Milan, chants against Draghi.

The procession of the Fridays for future, which took place this morning through the streets of central Milan on the occasion of the global climate strike, arrived next to Piazza del Duomo.

Along the way, the young people shouted slogans several times against the Municipality of Milan and Confindustria, against Prime Minister Mario Draghi and the Minister of Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani.

Leading the procession is a rickshaw with a "Don't call it bad weather" sign.

A government guilty of financing the war through the purchase of Russian gas, the accusation that comes from the young people who are participating in the march.

About 5 thousand people participate in the march, which asks for certainty about the climate and choices against the war in Ukraine, according to the organizers.

The procession, after a stop at the

Naples, no to the Cingolani plan.

"We are not asking you about the future. We are coming to take it back."

It is the large banner that opens the procession that sees the boys of Naples in the square on the occasion of the Fridays For Future event for the global climate strike.

Hundreds have gathered in Piazza Garibaldi and will head, crossing the center, to Piazza Municipio.

Many requests from the boys of the movement written in clear letters on the many banners that color the procession.

From 'Future No Profit' to 'Governments, wars and indifference, you will have resistance' to 'Enough lies of the state'.

A procession that combines the demands to stop climate change with those to stop the new arms race and to say enough of the war in Ukraine and all wars.

The children ask governments and the powerful of the earth "to invest more funds to really start the ecological transition and to allocate less funds for the war".

"We rebel - explain the demonstrators - against a system that widens the gap between rich and poor and we will name and surname of those who commit war crimes, crimes against humanity. We have been saying for three years that we must change the paradigm and overturn the system and that the crisis must be resolved with the same money as those who brought us into this crisis ".

Energy issue which, precisely with the war in Ukraine, has become even more central.

But young people from Naples and its province denounce that "Minister Cingolani's plan is to switch from gas to coal to make up for the Russian gas which constitutes 40 per cent of our supplies.

Florence, there are also the workers of Gkn.

The procession of young people from the Fridays for future movement started from Piazza Santissima Annunziata in Florence: the Tuscan capital also joined the national climate strike scheduled for today.

About a thousand young and very young people are participating in the parade, which will wind through the streets of the city center up to Piazza del Carmine, asking for a change of gear in environmental protection.

In the square no party flags, but some peace flags and banners against the war in Ukraine.

At the end of the procession also trade unions and a representation of Gkn workers.

Turin, climate crisis can exacerbate wars.

Over two thousand people marched from Piazza XVIII December in Turin for the global strike for the climate of the Fridays for future.

"It is the first strike for the climate of 2022 and it falls at a very particular moment for Europe, in the midst of this conflict - explains Luca Sardo, the Turin head of the environmental movement - With this strike we want to underline the common causes between the war in Ukraine and the climate crisis ".

"Europe - continues Sardo - every day finances the Russian government, Putin, with 800 million euros to attack Ukraine and cannot free itself from this dependence on fossil fuels. This is what we are asking today: to untie itself from fuels. that finance wars and devastate our planet ".

Among the demonstrators some municipal councilors of the majority and the former mayor Chiara Appendino, with the second child in the stroller.

"I supported these boys as mayors and today I am here as a private citizen - explains Appendino - I am happy to finally see a square of girls and boys who demand attention for the environment".

Also in the streets with young people was the CGIL teachers' union, which declared a strike: "the climate crisis has the characteristic of exacerbating wars, like Syria in 2011, where drought was one of the primary causes of the revolution. The crisis climate will only worsen these elements in the future. "

Bari, the Ukrainian flag also flies.

Also in Bari, three years after the start of the pandemic, the green procession of FridayForFuture students returns.

500 people parade through the streets of the center shouting for "climate justice", waving flags and raising placards and banners.

"Let's stop the fossil fuel war", reads the banner that opens the march with the flag of Ukraine.

"We used the hashtag 'connect dots', connect the dots, because we believe that the different crises and struggles are linked - explains Marco Modugno, FridaysForFuture Bari referent and one of the eight spokespersons of FridaysForFuture Italia -. The climate crisis is not disconnected. from other crises. Putin's war is indeed closely linked to the inaction that has led us to an absurd dependence on fossil fuels,

from gas and above all from Russian gas.

Investing in the ecological transition, something that already had to be done decades ago and which is becoming increasingly urgent, not only leads to a vital transition that can reduce the catastrophic effects of the climate crisis, but also leads to a strengthening of democracies, of social justice ".
