A few months after the release of the new Bond film »No Time to Die«, Amazon Prime Video is planning a television series based on the classic agent.

As the industry magazine "Variety" reports, a reality format entitled "007's Road to a Million" will be produced before the end of this year.

The series will be filmed on previous Bond film locations.

There, the participants compete against each other in teams of two and have to solve tasks.

There are physical obstacles to be overcome, but also questions to be answered.

The candidates are playing for one million pounds (1.2 million euros).

Eight parts are planned.

Implementation is the responsibility of the British production company 72 Films, the James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, and the James Bond film studio MGM Television, which recently became part of Amazon.

Production is scheduled to begin this year, and the first castings are currently underway.

According to information from »Variety«, the planning has been going on for four years.

So they started even before Amazon took over MGM Television.

In 2021, Amazon bought the film studio for $8.5 billion - the EU Commission approved the deal a few days ago.

The company thus acquires the rights to James Bond films, but also to various Hollywood classics such as »Rocky« and »Robocop«.
