There are quite a few people, in fact very many, who have difficulty falling asleep at night, when the reasons for this are many.
A new U.S. survey found that there are several conditions that improve sleep and sleep quality: The survey found that best sleep occurs when we lie under a comfortable blanket in a quiet, cool room. In addition, researchers found that only two out of five rated their overall sleep quality as “Excellent.”
How important sleep is to our health We all know, but only recently a report from the Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School noted the various effects sleep has on health, such as reducing the risks of serious health conditions and increasing the chances of longer life expectancy .

In the current survey which included about 2,000 respondents, the average of all respondents answered that they go to bed at 22:00, but almost one-fifth of the respondents go to bed later than that.
Those who claim to have "excellent" sleep prefer to go to bed a little earlier, at 9:39 p.m.
On the other hand, while the average person wakes up twice a night, more than a quarter (29%) of those who suffer from "bad" sleep find themselves fully awake at least five times a night.
The reasons that make many people awake at night are worrying about their family (42%) or about work (41%).

Closing eyes in a quiet room (31%) with some light on (72%) also contributed to their "excellent" sleep, as well as maintaining a comfortable blanket all year round (66%) along with leaving at least an hour between the last meal and sleep (61%) .
All of these are part of healthy sleep hygiene that contributes to quality sleep.

A survey conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Simmons Mattresses also examined other key factors for achieving great sleep.
This includes sleeping with two pillows on a mattress with medium support and a cool room.
The findings showed that more people prefer to sleep with some light than in a completely dark room (36% vs. 29%).
It was further found that most people take less than half an hour to complete their night routine like brushing teeth (45%), skin care (41%) and watching TV (38%).
"Our body craves consistency, so creating a sleep routine is extremely important to get a great night of rest, which we know contributes to better health," the survey authors said.
