Ingredients
For 2 English cake tins:
200 grams of sugar (1 cup)
7 eggs (separated into proteins and yolks)
120 g ground coconut (cup and a quarter less a tablespoon)
150 grams of chocolate chips (3/4 cup)
100 g ground bleached almonds (cup)
70 g cornflour (half a cup)
5 g baking powder (teaspoon)
110 grams of canola oil (1 cup + tablespoon)

Preparation
How to make a flour-free coconut-chocolate cake?
1 Mix the chocolate chips with the cornflour so that they do not sink to the bottom of the cake.
2 In a mixer bowl with a whipping balloon, beat the egg whites on medium-high speed.
3 When a white foam is formed gradually add the sugar until a firm foam is obtained.
4 Slowly add the egg yolks and oil and then fold in (while removing some of the air from the batter), all the other ingredients and finally the chocolate chips.
5 Divide equally between two English cake tins sprayed with oil spray.
Bake at 160 degrees for about 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out dry.
