Takaaki Nakagami of Team LCR Honda Idemitsu will miss this weekend's Argentine Grand Prix after testing positive at Covid-19 on Monday, before leaving for a Termas de Rio Hondo.
The Japanese driver did two more tests after showing no symptoms, but both tested positive.
Nakagami will now rest at home before trying to be fit for the GP of the Americas next weekend.
"Unfortunately I will not be racing this weekend in Argentina. I am really sorry for my team, sponsors and fans. I have no symptoms and I feel good," said Nakagami.
With the Test Rider HRC Stefan Bradl who has already replaced Marc Marquez in the field of the Repsol Honda team,
