This was announced by the Institute itself, specifying that the accident phenomenon is up by 26.4%, compared to the period January-February 2020. (ANSA).

The data collected as of February 28 of each year, Inail informs, "show an increase at national level for the first two months of 2022 compared to the same period of 2021 and in cases that occurred during work, which went from 74,688 in 2021 to 111,975 in 2022 (+ 49.9%), both of those in progress, that is, on the round trip between the home and the workplace, which recorded an increase of 26.1%, from 7,946 to 10,019 ".

In February 2022, then, "the number of accidents at work reported marked a + 46.9% in the Industry and services management (from 70,565 cases in 2021 to 103,661 in 2022), a + 2.5% in Agriculture (from 3,351 to 3,435) and + 70.9% in the State Account (from 8,718 to 14,898) ".

"In just two months - says the president of Inail Franco Bettoni - over 120,000 reports of accidents have been registered, 114 with fatal outcome" and the "worrying increases compared to the first two months of 2021 require serious reflection, to stimulate greater attention towards the issue of health and safety at work ".
