(ANSA) - MILAN, MARCH 31 - Anna Netrebko, the Russian soprano who announced after the invasion of Ukraine that she wanted to take some time away from the stage, will return to La Scala on May 27th, giving up the performances of Adriana Lecouvreur scheduled for March 9th.
Netrebko will make her comeback on May 25 with a recital at the Pierre Boulez hall in Paris, which she will follow two days after an encore at the Scala in Milan.
Together with her the mezzo-soprano Elena Maximova, the violinist Giovanni Andrea Zanon and the pianist Malcolm Martineau.
Tickets for the LaScala show will be on sale from 12 noon on 13 April.
In the engagements announced on her website, she then included a concert series with her husband, tenor Yusif Eyvazov, in Lucerne, Vienna, Regensburg and at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
The first opera on the program is the Turandot at the Arena di Veronadal 4 August always with her husband.
