(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 01 - Obstructionism of the League against the establishment of the National Commission for Human Rights, a body envisaged by the UN resolution of 20 December 1993, which commits all signatory states, including Italy, to establish bodies independent nationals for the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Matteo Salvini's party has in fact presented to the Constitutional Affairs Commission of the Chamber 784 amendments on a total of 934 to the Commission proposal for a law, to which the government has given its support.
The announcement was made by the President of the Commission and rapporteur, Giuseppe Brescia, in the session that resumed the examination of the text to formulate an opinion on the amendments.
During the session there was also a quarrel between the leader of Fdi Emanuele Prisco and the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Benedetto Della Vedova, who expressed himself in favor of the text and the establishment of the Commission.
