The minimum wage for temporary or agency workers increases to 10.88 euros per hour.

This is above the generally applicable minimum wage in Germany.

The prices in the supermarket, for heating and refueling have risen significantly.

What changes for many employees when they look at the

payslip

?

There are some innovations this year,

especially with regard to the

minimum wage .

Company nursing assistants

and

temporary workers

, for example, can expect higher wages, as reported by Bayerischer Rundfunk.

The

minimum wage for temporary or agency workers

increases to 10.88 euros per hour on April 1 from previously 10.45 euros.

The report also states that this should only be an intermediate step.

As is well known, the general minimum wage is to be raised to 12 euros per hour from October 2022.

For nursing assistants, it is "already so high," says

BR.de

;

for qualified nursing assistants "even at 12.50 euros and for nursing staff at 15 euros".

Minimum wage increases in some sectors on April 1, 2022

“From the first of April, wages in care will increase again.

Then to 12.55 euros, 13.20 euros and 15.40 euros ,

” writes

BR.de.

However, this only applies to nursing staff who are employed in companies.

"Anyone who works as a caregiver in a private household, for example, will continue to only receive the statutory minimum wage of currently 9.82 euros."

Statutory minimum wage of 12 euros per hour from October 1, 2022

While the

generally applicable minimum wage in Germany

is currently EUR 9.82,

an adjustment to EUR 10.45 is already planned for July 1st

.

On October 1, the level of the lower wage limit is then to be raised once to

12 euros

outside of the usual increase  steps.

According to Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil (SPD), more than six million employees should benefit from this.

The higher statutory minimum wage also has a corresponding effect on pensions.

Civil servants

can also expect “a wage increase of around 1.8 percent” from April 2022, as

BR.de

further reported.

Mini job: Earnings limit will increase on October 1, 2022

As part of the minimum wage increase, the

upper earnings limit for mini-jobbers

will also be adjusted: the  mini-job limit will rise

 from 450 euros

to 520 euros per month

on October 1st

2022: From salary to sick leave - that changes for employees

This year, however, many employees have come across other innovations – or are yet to come.

Here you can find out what will change in 2022 in terms of salary or, for example, sick leave for many employees.

In addition, many employees should soon benefit from the so-called energy flat rate: Every

employee

who is subject to income tax and who is classified in tax brackets 1-5 should receive the flat rate of a one-time gross amount of 300 euros.

The

money is paid out by the employer as a salary subsidy

 ,

for the self-employed the advance tax payment is reduced instead

.

The lump sum is subject to income tax.
