(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 02 - The GDP of Ukraine in the first quarter of 2022 decreased by 16% compared to the same period last year.

This was underlined by the Ukrainian Minister of Economy, sounding the alarm for the possibility that the country's domestic product could drop by 40% compared to 2021 due to the war.


    "Russia's aggression against Ukraine has radically changed our economy. Our forecast for a drop in GDP in the first quarter of 2022 is 16% and the annual decline could reach 40%," said Denis Kudin, quoted by the media. Ukrainians.
