Singer Camila Cabello: "I couldn't let go and relax"

Singer Camila Cabello says she can't have a normal day at the beach because of lurking paparazzi and internalized beauty standards.
"I couldn't let go and relax and do what you're supposed to do when you go out in nature," the 25-year-old wrote on Instagram after visiting the beach in Miami over the weekend.
Fearing that unfavorable photos of her would be spread on the Internet and commented on in a hurtful way, she constantly sucked in her stomach and held her breath.
"I've never had a worse time at the beach," Cabello wrote.
She feels the emptiness and sadness of society's thoughts on beauty ideals, which have become her own thoughts.
She has watched children playing carefree in the waves - and wished she could have the same attitude towards her own body as she did when she was seven, says Cabello.
Her post received more than a million likes.
Actresses Lily Collins and Bella Thorne expressed sympathy and approval, while reality star Paris Hilton wrote that the post made her cry: "So important for people to hear."
