(ANSA) - CASTROVILLARI, 05 APR - Two people, a man and a woman not yet officially identified, almost certainly an offender and his partner, were killed yesterday evening with some gunshots in the countryside of Castrovillari, in the province of Cosenza.
The bodies were inside a car in ContradaGiammellona, in an isolated area.
The man's body was hidden in the trunk of the car, while the woman's was in the driver's seat.
The Carabinieri are investigating the double murder.
The procurator of the Republic of Castrovillari, Alessandro D'Alessio, arrived on the spot, under the directives of which the Arma soldiers are working, and the legal doctor who was entrusted with the task of carrying out the external examination of the corpses in order to then proceed to the removal.
The man and the woman, according to what emerged from the first investigations of the Carabinieri of the Operational Department of the Provincial Command of Cosenza and of the Company of Castrovillari, would have been killed a few hours before the discovery of the corpses.
Numerous holes were found on the bodies of the victims caused by the gunshots with which they were killed.
According to what has been learned, the carabinieri have already identified the two people killed, but their identity is not at the moment made official pending the conclusion of some investigative investigations.
The motive for the double murder is still to be ascertained.
Icarabinieri would be investigating, at least in this phase, at 360 degrees and would not be following a privileged track.
The hypothesis that is taken into greater consideration, however, is that of a revenge matured in the circles of criminality, it is not yet known whether it is common or organized.
