Recall: How do allergy sufferers react to sulfur dioxide?
According to the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety, sulfur dioxide in food is well tolerated by most people.
However, in some people, eating foods that contain sulfur dioxide or sulfite can cause severe intolerance reactions, such as asthmatic reactions.
A well-known brand recently recalled a salad product.
Here, too, allergy sufferers were particularly affected.
