- The renowned Tuscan extra virgin olive oil has a new ambassador, Sting who for the first time will be awarded by Gambero Rosso with the award of the "Three leaves", maximum recognition of the "Oli d'Italia 2022" guide.
The farm "Il Palagio" of the English singer and his wife Trudie Styler will be present at Veronafiere with various wine tastings.
In tasting also the extra virgin olive oil awarded by Gambero Rosso, a Monocultivar Frantoio.
"This variety - underline the Tuscan estate - produces an intense extra virgin olive oil with golden reflections, fine, aromatic, savory and fruity, with a hint of spicy and bitter. The aromas include fresh grass, artichoke and rosemary. The vintage 2021 was very difficult: only 100 liters of limited production Frantoio or 100 thousand millimeters or millions of drops of gold. Thanks to Gambero Rosso which after many years has followed our quality work in progress, as a gem of Tuscany ".
At the moment there is no confirmation of Sting's presence at the fair, but the English singer and his wife were close to Vinitaly during the pandemic giving voice to a video message to toast to 2021 on the notes of "When, when, when" by Tony Renis who involved various protagonists of the world of Italian wine.
To make a cameo to the liberating karaoke, a duet of Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, with a lot of hope also addressed to the return of Vinitaly;

The awards ceremony is scheduled in the calendar of the Sol fair, at the same time as Vinitaly, also at the Verona Fair.
The twelfth edition of "Oli d'Italia 2022" will be presented by Gambero Rosso on Monday 11 April at Palaexpo, when the 26 Special Awards that draw the map of the excellence of green gold made in Italy will also be unveiled.
During the event, the Gambero Rosso Extra Virgin Tour will also be presented, which will suck the whole peninsula in the month of May.
