(ANSA) - GENOA, 07 APR - The former CEO of Autostrade per l'Italia, Giovanni Castellucci, has been adjudicated for the collapse of the Morandi bridge.
At trial also the other 58 people accused in the proceedings.
This was decided by the judge for the preliminary hearing of the court of Genoa PaolaFaggioni.
The trial on the collapse that caused the death of 43 people on 14 August 2018 will begin on 7 July.
Judge Faggioni accepted the plea agreement between Autostrade and Spea, the former subsidiary that took care of the maintenance.
The two companies will pay around 30 million out of the process.
The power of attorney had given a favorable opinion.
The judge decided after about an hour and a half in council chamber.
For about two hours he read the reasons why he rejected all the objections of inullity raised by the lawyers of the defendants, including that it would not have been possible to read all the documents because it would have required too expensive software.
The gup also kept the finds from the Morandi bridge under seizure.
The prosecutor had given the green light to the release from seizure to allow the Municipality to complete the park of Memory.
