(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 08 - A pasta omelette made in a bar in the square also arrived at mid-morning to make the cleaning work less heavy: it happens in Naples and the opportunity to express solidarity in this way is the initiative of Naples Services, Asia and Third Municipality with the participation of about fifty Ukrainians and employees of municipal companies for an extraordinary cleaning of Piazza Cavour, in the center of the city, after the denunciation of the Neapolitan edition of 'the Republic' on the degradation and abandonment of area located a few meters from the National Archaeological Museum and from Porta SanGennaro.
"We want to express in a concrete way our knowledge of the Neapolitan people for the welcome they always reserve for us"
says Tania with the flag of her country on her shoulders as she collects waste and weeds together with the nationals and the garbage collectors;
in the square with them also the president of the Third Municipality, Fabio Greco, and the councilor Salvatore Marino.
The unique task force will continue its intervention for the rest of the day and is arousing curiosity and approval from residents and tourists.
"Finally a concrete action - says a woman as she returns home with shopping bags - and thanks to the Ukrainians: they have given us a lesson in civilization".
Naturally, it is also emphasized that a one-day intervention is not enough: in the large square there are homeless people who are permanently stationed especially in the area behind the new underground station near the Archaeological Museum;
it will be necessary to find a structural solution for these people as well as to give continuity to the cleaning interventions and to restore decorum to the square.
Some citizenship earners could also be used to help out volunteers and employees of municipal companies.
