(ANSA) - PARIS, APRIL 10 - The polling stations in France for the first round of the presidential elections are open from this morning at 8:00.
About 48.7 million voters are called to vote to decide among the 12 candidates for the presidency of the Republic, including the outgoing Emmanuel Macron and the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen, favored at the polls.
Everything suggests that tonight at 8 pm there will be confirmation of a new Macron-Le Pen duel in the ballot, as 5 years ago, with the difference that this time it will be a duel at the last vote: 2 points separate the contenders in the first round (26% against 24% for the latest polls), as many per second (51% to 49%).
A possible ballot is scheduled for April 24th.
