Apparently mentally confused: In London, a police officer was injured by a man with a machete

A man with a machete attacked a police officer in east London.
The emergency services were called to Skelton Road in the Forest Gate area around noon on Sunday.
The Metropolitan Police said the man was believed to be in "a mental health crisis" and officers stayed at the scene to speak to him.
The injured officer is being treated at hospital for a lacerated arm.
According to reports from the BBC, the Independent and other media, his condition is not life-threatening.
First, a tweet said the man was armed with an axe.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said, according to a report by The Express: 'At around 11.50am on Sunday April 10, police were called to a man armed with a machete who was staying at an address at Skelton Road, E7, a psychological crisis.«
Videos posted on social media show a large armed police presence in the area, with Skelton Road cordoned off, according to footage.
