After the April weather lived up to its name at the weekend with rain, sleet and snow showers, it is getting friendlier and warmer right from the start of the week until the middle of the week.

As reported by the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach on Sunday, temperatures of between 15 and 20 degrees can be expected in western and southwestern Germany on Monday thanks to a lot of sunshine.

In the rest of the country, values between 10 and 15 degrees are reached.

Only on the Baltic Sea are the degrees with onshore wind still in the single digits.

Warm air currents are already noticeable in western Germany on Tuesday night.

There it remains frost-free, otherwise light frost occurs at minus three degrees.

High cloud fields and Sahara dust

Tuesday continues the sunny trend of the previous day.

Temperatures will generally rise to 20 to 24 degrees.

Only in the north-east will it stay a little cooler at 11 to 19 degrees.

However, the spring-like prospects should be enjoyed with a little caution, as high cloud fields and Sahara dust can dampen temperatures.

The night of Tuesday then remains frost-free apart from a few spots in the eastern low mountain ranges and in the Alps.

With values between 18 and 24 degrees, according to the weather service in Germany, Wednesday will probably be the warmest day of the new week.

On the Upper Rhine, the thermometer can even show 25 degrees.
