(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, APRIL 10 - A Palestinian woman of around 40, Ghad al-Sabbatin, was shot to death today by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Hussan, near Bethlehem.
She was reported by the Wafa news agency, which cites the Palestinian health ministry.
The woman was unarmed, it was specified.
According to the Israeli military spokesperson, she had previously approached the soldiers threateningly and ignored their warning shots in the air.
"As a result, they shot her in the lower body," said the spokesperson who said an investigation was initiated.
