The continuation of a long affair
This domestic violence case is not so recent.
Indeed, during their divorce in 2016, Amber Heard already accused her former companion of having beaten her.
This new trial follows a first case in which Johnny Depp had filed a complaint against the British daily
The Sun
for defamation.
Once again, one of the newspaper articles accused the 58-year-old actor of domestic violence against his former wife.
The trial was held in London in 2020 and although the actor failed to win it, he was notably supported by his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis.
But that same year, the interpreter of Chenault in
Rhum Express
, must face a turnaround.
Johnny Depp in turn accuses his former girlfriend of having been violent with him.
A recording of a conversation between the two celebrities, which dates from 2015, is made public, in which we hear the young woman attacking the actor: "I didn't punch you, I didn't knock you down, I hit you - but you're fine, I didn't hurt you," she said in the recording picked up by the
Daily Mail
in 2020. Since then, the actress tried three times to have the defamation lawsuit brought by her former husband annulled, without success in the end.
