After the success of
Einstein, sex and me
, Olivier Liron returns with a novel about his "heroine", his mother.
His mother is María Nieves (“snow” in Spanish) born in 1954, in Spain, under the Franco dictatorship.
Then comes the time of exile, of the arrival in Saint-Denis, the time of odd jobs and humiliation, then the time of enthusiasm, she becomes a teacher.
She will give Olivier a precious talisman, the taste for books, for reading and writing them.
So here is
Le livre de neige,
the portrait of a sunny woman in short chapters, a few photos and a writing sparkling with humor, love and sincerity.

friendship
So different and so friendly.
Béatrice and Elisa, they are 14 years old, Béatrice the flamboyant and Elisa the shy, uncomfortable in her skin.
One is beautiful, seductive, she will become a star influencer;
the other, passionate about poetry and literature, will become a teacher.
She is the narrator of this novel, born from her diary and written more than ten years after this crazy friendship which will know joys and betrayals.
An endearing novel that perfectly describes the time of adolescence, the difficulty of becoming an adult and the upheavals of a society caught up in the internet, social networks and the madness of appearances.

In 1915, Jeanne Roques, known as Musidora, appeared on large posters in the capital.
Balaclava and black silk sheath signed Paul Poiret, smoldering gaze, she is the star of Les
Vampires
, a soap opera by Louis Feuillade.
Friend of Colette, adored by the surrealists, she became a symbol and the first vamp of silent cinema.
The simple line of this comic strip, which traces from childhood to the first successes (she died in 1957) an extraordinary destiny, highlights the sensitivity and the will of a free avant-garde, who marked her time and who is unfairly somewhat forgotten today.
