Monday 11 April.
The perpetrator of the vandalism is a
43-year-old Ukrainian citizen
: the man was stopped by the Army soldiers present as a permanent garrison in the perimeter of the diplomatic headquarters and did not resist.
The 43-year-old was sued for
soiling
and defacing.
The episode was announced by the Moscow embassy in Rome: "On 11 April at 6.20, the entrance to the Russian Embassy in Italy was attacked with paint. The police arrived on the spot. The author was arrested. In relation to the incident, a
verbal note
was sent to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic
with a request to strengthen the security measures of the mission and to conduct an objective investigation into the incident ", reads the note released by the embassy also on social channels.
