    To EU deputies, Saied also revealed that the national dialogue began on the basis of the national consultation concluded on March 20 and that it will end with a national referendum (on July 25), which will be followed by legislative elections under the control of the ISIE (Independent High Authority for the elections).


    The Tunisian president "also wanted to reassure his interlocutors on respect for freedoms and human rights in Tunisia by expressing his attachment to the idea of ​​a strong and independent state".


    MEPs are on a mission to Tunisia until 13 April to "consult on Tunisia's path towards political reforms and the return to institutional stability".
