Appointment on Rai 3: alongside father Enzo Fortunato and Simona Vanni there will be Bocelli, Caccamo, Noa, Salgado and Cardini Rome, 11 April 2022 - Thursday 14 April, at 3.10 pm on Rai3, the program "Passione" will be broadcast by Simona Vanni who, accompanied by Father Enzo Fortunato, will make a journey to the places linked to the word passion where the meanings connected to it can be found most.
After the one dedicated to the Nativity of St. Francis and the genesis of the Christmas song "You who come down from the Stars", the new journey of Father Fortunato and Simona Vanni, wants to retrace the stages of the Passion of Jesus, going to visit the places where the relics are present and the key elements that marked the passion of Christ, telling the stories.
A journey that starts with a question: where is the wood of the Cross ... does the most important relic of Christianity still exist?
It starts from one of the most evocative crosses of the Middle Ages kept in the crypt of the Duomo of Scala in the heart of the Amalfi coast and begins a surprising and unexpected journey that takes us to Jerusalem, then to Rome in the Basilica of Santa Croce, where the mother of Constantine made build the Basilica to house the relics brought from the Holy Land, and finally to Paris where the Crown of Thorns is kept.
There is no lack of unexpected and surprising encounters, which become reflection, song, questions from the cross of Jesus to the crosses of today's poor christs ... nailed by senseless wars.
Also participating in the Easter story are Monsignor Pierbattista Pizzabballa, Patriarch of Jerusalem, Father Ibrahim Faltas, Discreet of the Custody of the Holy Land, Monsignor Patrick Chauvet, Rector of Notre Dame of Paris, the tenor Andrea Bocelli, the singer-songwriter Giovanni Caccamo and the singer Noa, the photographer Sebastião Salgado and the historian Franco Cardini.
